Dave
Witham
Dave Witham has been teaching close to thirty students per week
on bass, piano and guitar here at More Than Music for the last
5 years. His teaching philosophy consists of working with the
strengths of each individual student and finding a program that
works well for that student. He believes that reading, ear training
as well as technical proficiency go into making a well-rounded
musician.
Dave, a South County native has a vast array
of different musical and educational background. He was a music
student at URI and CCRI for a couple of years before deciding
to "switch gears" and go a different route. That road
brought him to Tempe, AZ, where he acquired a music production
degree at The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, earning
certifications in the instruction of Pro Tools systems, Solid
State Logic and Neve recording consoles.
Upon returning to RI, Dave began recording and
performing with many musical acts;
Of The Hour, Flat 12
and the most recent, T A N G E N T S, which garnered him airplay
on Sirius and XM radio, and placements in television, movies and
video games.
Dave is currently getting close to finishing
his second degree (English) at RIC and plans to continue on with
graduate school shortly after. He currently resides in Warwick
with his wife, Lori and spazz of a dog, Burton.
