Alison Shea
Alison Shea has been teaching piano,clarinet, and saxophone at More Than Music for almost 16 years now. She very much enjoys working one on one with students, not only focusing on the fundamentals, but allowing her students to have fun and explore music they would like to do, enjoying how excited they are as they achieve their goals. Many of Alisons students have participated in All State, Honor Band, and Solo and Ensemble as well as furthering their talents in college and in their careers. In addition to teaching, Alison, is the Music Director at St. Bernards Church (located almost across the street from MTM) where she directs 3 choirs, various instrumentalists, and oversees all musical aspects that occurs at the church. The love of music theater is also in Alison's blood where she has been involved since her early college days at the University of Rhode Island. Since then she has performed and Music Directed for schools and many local companies. Some of her favorite productions include: Sesussical The Musical, Pippin, Cabaret, and School House Rock. Alison also enjoys performing with many bands and local artists. When she isn't performing she enjoys being active with her two growing sons, cooking, and spending time in her garden.
