Joel Beauchemin
Joel Beauchemin began playing violin at the age of four. Later, he studied classical music and performed as a member of the RI Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. In 2001, Joel received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition from The College
of Wooster in Ohio. For the past ten years, he has been teaching stringed instruments in numerous
private schools and music studios throughout the state of Rhode Island. Currently, Joel oversees the
music program, PK to 12, at The Providence Center School. He is also a member of Occidental Gypsy,
a local jazz group. Joel resides in North Kingstown, not too far from More Than Music, with his wife and two rambunctious hound dogs.
